No Buyers For John Abraham's New Movie

It seems like the only thing that makes a John Abraham movie sells is his butt! Why else would the distributors of his next movie Aashayein file a case against the producers?

It's a question that many are asking as this Nagesh Kukunoor-directed film is being called 'too arty' for a commercial release.

The distributors of the movie, Reliance's Big Pictures has filed a case against producers Percept Picture Company and T-Series because they felt the film had not measured up to their expectations, Mumbai Mirror reports.

Apparently the big guys at Big Pictures were not happy with the final draft of Aashayein. "Big Pictures had felt that the film would be a commercial proposition. But it is, in fact, an art film," the paper quoted a source as having said.

Elahe Hiptoola, who works with Nagesh told the paper that Big Pictures was quite happy with the film when they saw it in July. "They saw the film and sent us a text message saying that they loved the film and John was brilliant in it," she said.
